Originally from the North East of England, Colin has lived in Dunfermline since 2004. Having always had an interest in art since early school years, he studied art to Advanced level and, later, part-time college. Colin pursued a career in Financial Services for 38 years, painting in his spare time. He took early retirement in 2013 to concentrate on painting full time. Colin mainly works in oils and watercolour plus monoprints (one off original prints). He is fascinated by the effect of light in the landscape and the coast, his main subjects.

Colin teaches art classes on cruise ships, tutors for painting holidays and writes regular articles for a leading art magazine. He travels around the UK providing demonstrations and workshops for art groups and societies.
