Rebecca Sarah Black is the modern embroidery artist behind Blackbird & Bloom Embroidery. Rebecca’s studio is in Dunfermline city centre, where you can find her creating kits, patterns and accessories, and teaching workshops.

When looking for a new creative project to help with her mental health, and a passion for hand crafting, Rebecca found embroidery and soon fell in love. As a hugely therapeutic practice, embroidery gave Rebecca the chance to embrace her creativity, and found the perfect tool for mindfulness. After creating embroidery artworks for friends and family, Rebecca decided to expand her practice to reach out to others and inspire them to enjoy embroidery as much as she does.

With a focus on colour palettes and stitch techniques and inspired by flora and fauna, Rebecca designs beginner friendly embroidery kits, patterns and accessories, to share the craft with the wider community.
