Albany Wool is a small batch yarn business based in Dunfermline.

They keep a small flock of Shetland sheep as pets, using their wool to produce a unique selection of hand dyed and hand spun yarns. They want to ensure people know the ‘face behind the wool’, making sure every customer knows the names and individuality of the sheep who have produced this amazing fibre.

Working from their own kitchen, yarns are dyed in small batches on the hob using safe dye mixes to produce complimentary colour ways. Their aim is to produce local, traceable, 100% wool yarns to inspire people to choose wool over synthetic fibres for their special crafting projects!
